INPUTQUESTION#039;To Kill A MockingbirdINPUTQUESTION#039; or INPUTQUESTION#039;Of Mice And MenINPUTQUESTION#039;?
For my English coursework, I have the choice of studying INPUTADDLIB#039;To Kill A MockingbirdINPUTADDLIB#039; or INPUTADDLIB#039;Of Mice And MenINPUTADDLIB#039;. Which one should I chose, and why?
Answer
Both are great books, and neither is difficult to read. Of Mice and Men was the first book that really made me cry. To Kill a Mockingbird remains my all-time favorite to this day. Both books have clear themes and it would be easy to write a good essay about either one of them.
Of Mice and Men is definitely shorter, so if you read slowly or don;t have too much time to finish, you may want to choose that one. ItINPUTANSWER#039;s technically a novella, as itINPUTANSWER#039;s too short to be considered a novel. Even though itINPUTANSWER#039;s so short, thereINPUTANSWER#039;s a lot packed into those few pages. ItINPUTANSWER#039;s very poignant and sad. It centers around two adult characters - migrant workers running from the law and trying to make do with what they have. They are a team - one of them is physically very strong but mentally challenged, the other is smaller but intelligent.
On the other hand, To Kill a Mockingbird, although itINPUTANSWER#039;s longer, is still pretty easy to read. It centers around the lives of two children growing up in the south in the 1930INPUTANSWER#039;s. Their Dad is a lawyer who is defending a black man accused of raping a white woman. Also very poignant. Note: Other than the Bible and Shakespeare, Mockingbird is the most re-read work in the world. That so many people who read it want to read it again should tell you something.
The best way I know to choose if none of these answers is helping you would be to read a few chapters of each book and see which one you like better.
Good luck with your project, and I hope you eventually read both books!
